This morning was presented the project “Eines d'Ecoguiatge to discover and conserve marine habitats of fishing interest on the Costa Brava ”.

There are 100 kits that are distributed among 39 association dive centers and other dive centers participating in the first phase of the Eoguies project, as well as educational centers and public libraries.

This morning was presented the project “Eines d'Ecoguiatge to discover and conserve marine habitats of fishing interest on the Costa Brava ”.

It is also possible to access all the materials freely (for educational purposes) on the web: https://www.submarinismocostabrava.com/ca/ecoguies-subaquatics/

The language - simple as well as rigorous - and the illustrations created specifically for the project, make it suitable for all audiences. For this reason, the project is complemented with workshops to secondary school students from the coastal towns of the Costa Brava.

Co-financed by the FEMP, the final objective is to minimize the impact of diving on marine habitats, promote the practice of good practices among professionals and users and ensure the preservation of the seabed of fishing interest, seeking to make compatible the different activities carried out along the coast of the Costa Brava.

The event took place at the L'Estartit Nautical Club, and was attended by Míriam Prat, president of the association, and Xavier Munill, a biologist from Bufalvent, the entity that developed the content of the project.

Also present were Jordi Colomí, Mayor of the Torroella de Montgrí City Council, Francesc Ferrer, President of the Decentralized Municipal Entity of L'Estartit, Cristina Mañas, Secretary of the Grup d'Acció Local Pesquer Costa Brava and Elisabet Sánchez, Director of Territorial Services of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda in Girona.
